Happy Halloween Chickies! Okay, so today I am changing things up to talk about mine and my husband's first ever house party! It was extremely fun and a little stressful. We hosted a Halloween party/birthday party/come see our new house party lol - we have a fairly large family so when we have birthday parties we normally combine all of them together for that month. Growing up, my mom has always thrown parties at our house, and I had always dreamed about throwing one myself. So Saturday, I finally did. And I did so on a budget, if you are intending to host a halloween party on a budget - have no fear! These tips for planning are sure to keep you within your means but also have fun with your family and friends. Jase and I have been so excited about this party since September, when we sent out our invitation. I attached our Halloween invite below! You can go to https://www.greetingsisland.com to create yours for free! Ask everyone to bring a Halloween themed dish for a chance to win a prize! This encourages each guest to try a new Halloween recipe and share with everyone at the party, AND you will save money this way. Jase and I made the main meal, bought drinks/spooky punch, and a cake from our local Publix. We had each guest vote on who won the spookiest/yummiest dish. Side note: earlier in my post when I mentioned "..a little stressful." I was thinking of the ribs incident when we had to make an emergency grocery run to get more ribs.. whew such an expensive lesson guys!! Reuse decor and don't break the bank with expensive, flashy entertainment. The halloween themed photo booth and games were a hit! It was a cheap and easy way to entertain our guest. Halloween Photo Props are found here. Halloween Pin the Skeleton is found here. Make it a costume party! Everyone loves a costume contest and having everyone show up and get festive with costumes is super fun! We purchased these from amazon for the winners. In the end, you don't have to go big for a Halloween party if you are on a budget. Getting friends and family together to spend quality time is so fun and you never need to spend a ton of money for that!
Did you throw a Halloween party this year?? Tell me about it in the comments!
